Mother’s Day Shopping Sorted with TJ Hughes

I always find it really difficult to find gifts for my mum. She doesn’t collect anything in particular and the hobby’s she does have are things you can’t really buy her things for. She does Pilates and likes walking so apart from getting her some walking boots or a new water bottle, there isn’t much to buy her! I usually get her some flowers and chocolates and to be honest, she’s pretty happy with that (who wouldn’t be?!) but sometimes I think it would be nice to get her something a bit different and with a bit more thought put into my Mother’s Day shopping!

TJ Hughes are a discount department store that sell huge brands at great prices. Specialising in home, fashion, fragrance, sportswear, luggage, toys and much more, they stock premium brands like Calvin Klein, Adidas and Clinique, all at up to 70% off the original RRP! You can shop instore or online for pretty much anything you need, so I headed off with the challenge of finding some gifts for my mum! Here’s what I found:

TRU Ladies Leather Gloves £3.99

I don’t think you can go wrong with 100% leather gloves, can you? These have a pretty bow across the wrist and are so soft with a thermal lining inside!

TRU Minimal Cross Body Bag £8

I love a cross body bag as they are really handy to keep my hands free when I have the kids with me. This grey bag is so stylish and a great size for when I don’t need the changing bag, but I need to fit more than my keys and phone in! It can be used for everyday as well as date nights out making it really versatile.

TRU Minimal Purse £5

A great little purse which goes nicely with the grey cross body bag, this purse can hold up to 8 cards, has 2 note slots and a central coin purse. Great for everyday use but also looks nice enough to use on a night out, you won’t be embarrassed taking this out of your bag!

GATINEAU Floracil Plus Gentle Eye Make-up Remover £8.95 + CLARINS Toner £13.99

I haven’t long started taking my make-up off properly in the evenings, so these products are great additions to your daily routine. You definitely need a separate eye make-up remover for stubborn waterproof mascara and this one is perfect for all skin types and the added Aloe Vera, Witch Hazel and Vitamin E protects and hydrates the delicate eye area, conditions the lashes and leaves the skin revitalised. You definitely need a decent Toner and I love Clarins but never buy it for myself so this one is perfect. Again, the use of Witch Hazel and Aloe Vera with Sage refreshes the skin and removes traces of cleanser left on the skin. So, you can be sure you’re doing the best for you skin!

SANCTUARY SPA Being Salted Caramel and Macadamia Bubble Bath £1.99

I love Sanctuary Spa products and this caramel bubble bath smells divine! Perfect for a lovely long soak after a stressful day, just add to warm water and off you go!

Little Birds Duck Egg Double Duvet Cover Set £16.99

Not something I buy very often as we have 2 sets and they are just rotated each week; a new duvet set is a bit of a luxury in this house! I absolutely love duck egg blue and the colour and pattern of this duvet set is stunning! 65% cotton and 35% polyester makes for a soft and comfortable night’s sleep as well as making the set easy to wash and even easier to iron!

I think the gifts I have chosen for my mum are great and show just how wide ranging the products at TJ Hughes are. Not only are they good for Mother’s Day gifts but also any other occasion you need gifts for! It’s hard to not buy for yourself too and I have my eye on a couple of these already! I’m really happy I have been able to get organised for Mother’s Day and not left it to the last minute this year! Now only my Nan and Gran to go!
