We have always been interested in personalised and custom made products, there is something really special about creating an item that is unique to you and fits exactly what you want from it. I was recently approached by Photowall to see if we would like to create a custom wall mural or custom canvas prints and as we have been looking for a lovely print for our living room since we moved in last year, I thought it would be lovely to choose a canvas print for the wall above the sofa.
Photowall is a Swedish brand with a passion for design and quality that create environmentally friendly wall murals and canvas prints. They work with talented photographers and designers around the world to offer bespoke wallpapers and canvas prints for customers to personalise to their own needs. There is also the option to upload your own images for creating into wall murals and canvas prints which mean the possible designs are endless! Photowall use cutting-edge digital printing techniques to enable them to guarantee quality and precision on all of their products.
It’s really easy to order a wall mural or canvas print with Photowall. We chose a canvas print for the living room so I already had some design colours in mind of greys and browns. It’s really easy to search for designs and there are a lot of them so it might be a good idea to have a colour or design in mind before searching. There are 3 easy steps to ordering a canvas print; choose or upload your image, enter the size you require, order with free delivery! I immediately fell in love with the Julia Butterfly design!
On screen there is a preview of the custom canvas prints that you have selected so you can see straight away any changes or additions that you make or choose. As well as the canvas design you can choose to get the do-it-yourself frame, the edging, choose any dimensions you would like and crop the canvas if needed. We opted for the do-it-yourself frame and a canvas measuring 100cm x 50cm. Our design costs £80. If you are ordering a wall mural, the wall paper paste is included so you don’t have to even think about anything else once you have received your order.
The canvas print came in a protective wrapping with the frame pieces ready to be assembled. The instructions are really easy to follow and just involve you peeling the protective tape from the frame sections and sticking them down onto the print directly. You then fold the frame sections in towards each other and secure the corners with the corner plates so that the print is tensioned. You can then hang the print on your wall!
I absolutely love the print design, it’s even prettier than the website shows and I’m very happy with it! The colours are vibrant and clear as well as the design itself being perfect on the canvas. The do-it-yourself frame was simple to put together and took about 5 minutes. Once on the wall, the canvas print looks lovely and I have had lots of comments about it from family and friends. It really is a beautiful addition to our living room!
