These times are difficult for all of us and have taken a toll on our bodies. Whether we feel sluggish and overweight or if we have suffered with anxiety because of Covid 19. Times are difficult and we can lack a lot of energy and feel bad about ourselves. It’s time to be your best version. If you are struggling with any type of medical issues, it is important to look at talking to a doctor. There are many options. If you need medication, do not skip them, it’s important to maintain what your doctor prescribes and from Simple Online Pharmacy you can get repeat prescriptions easily.

Be Your Best Version

In order to feel better, we must assess our lives. Then seek to change them for the better. With 10 simple steps you will be able to ensure -as much as possible of course- a good health but also an inner peace. Here are some ways in which you can learn to feel healthy and beautiful again.

Neatness. Tidy mind, tidy life.

What I mean; in very simple words, pick up what you do not use and make room for everything else. Give the charity shops all the clothes that fill your wardrobe and shelves and then you can’t complain that you have no room for your new purchases. Buy in new stock and change things up! Also keep your kitchen neat. Have you changed your eating habits? The food in your cupboards may also need to be scrapped. This stops you from binge eating.

Include omega-3 fatty acids in your diet.

The higher the level of omega-3 in the blood, the lower the chance of heart attack, coronary heart disease and any kind of inflammation in the body. You can find them in oily fish, flaxseed and nuts.

Look after your hearing

Hearing is such an important part of life. It’s very important to keep your ears in tip top condition. You can keep on top of this by getting regular hearing checks and wax removal if needed. The Hearing Company have some appointments available now!

Drink water plentifully.

Especially now in the summer, you have to drink a lot of water. 8 to 10 glasses daily is a recommended daily amount to avoid dehydration, reduce cellulite and eliminate toxins. Always have a bottle near you, if you see it you will drink it! Out of sight out of mind, afterall. Be sensible!

Achieve your goals

Stop complaining that you never get what you want because this mindset is toxic and will only hinder you. If you have lost your job or income is less, then it is completely OK to feel down but it’s good to shift your mindset. Instead, set goals and do your best to achieve them. Set at least 3 goals a year. Write them down and use Present Tense (for example, I go to the gym every Monday and Wednesday) to encourage the universe. So you will read it and believe that it is a fact and a reality. This is the simple rule of manifestation.

Spend at least 10 minutes dedicated exclusively to yourself.

Reduce your stress and anxiety. Try to relax for 5 minutes after getting out of bed in the morning and calm down for 5 minutes before lying down again. Take a bath, read a book you like, drink a nice tasting tea and you will feel the difference. Camomile is good and also learning to meditate can greatly assist.

Exercise more often!

You do not necessarily need to go to the gym and pay membership there, there are many forms of fitness, from yoga, dancing and Zumba to running with your friend or walking in the park. Just shake your body and get it moving. Our bodies love moving and it releases those all important endorphins.

Keep a diary, because this is important.

It’s never too late to have a diary and a journal. If you don’t want to call it a diary, call it note taking, but you will see that it will help you record what you do, what happens and what you think. You feel that you are relieved, you can re-read them and you realise your mistakes and finally it effectively reduces stress. It really helps you learn from things and move forwards, as well as looking at your goals.

Love is so important

“All You Need is Love” may sound cliche but the feeling alone helps you live longer because the hormones that are released are useful for the body. Give a hug, laugh with your soul, have intimate moments with your partner. It relaxes you and releases you at the same time, so be sure that you are socialising and keeping up with things. Don’t let your mind run away with you at home.

Eat all your vegetables – yes 5 a day!

They contain all the nutrients that keep you healthy and strong giving you energy and good bowel function. Doctors insist that we include them in our daily diet and during the pandemic, getting enough vitamin C and vitamins in general are going to aid with your immune system.

Sleep is vital

And finally, the most important thing! Sleep, sleep, sleep. The key word. It does everything while you sleep. Rest, peace of body and mind – it’s not always easy to achieve but add some things that will assist. Find as much time as possible for sleep and give it the importance it deserves. Your skin will glow and you will do double activities during the day. So how can you improve sleep?

  1. Stick to a sleep schedule of the same bedtime and wake up time, even on the weekends.
  2. Practice a relaxing bedtime ritual.
  3. If you have trouble sleeping, avoid naps, especially in the afternoon.
  4. Exercise daily.
  5. Evaluate your room.
  6. Sleep on a comfortable mattress and pillows.
  7. Use lavender – lavender relaxes and can aid with sleep. Pop it in a diffuser.

It’s good to look after your body. It is also important to note what we are consuming in the media. If you know what triggers you, then avoid them.

Choose the media wisely

Beautiful images, funny videos, relaxing music reinforce a more optimistic reasoning as opposed to negative images and news that create a “noise” in our daily lives. You may want to avoid certain instagram posts that also make you feel bad. Such as posts that make you feel ugly or unsuccessful. You are neither, even if you feel this way. Avoid them and mute.

Limit socialising with negative people.

Even a little negativity is enough to get you down. Try to spend more time with happy and optimistic people, without this meaning that you should completely exclude the rest of your life. If you have negative people in your circle, try to convey some of your positive thinking to them and change their direction. Even if this is family, try to break away from them. If you have different views to your family that is just fine; we are all individuals. Focus on what makes you happy and the people that make you happy. Negativity can have a physical impact and make us feel uncomfortable and give us anxiety. It’s vital to avoid this.

Talk well to yourself, and never in bad light

Even if their plans fail, optimistic people will not let an obstacle plunge them into despair. If you have a business, you can’t let things go downhill because of one bump in the road and this applies in all instances. The next time you are faced with a demanding and difficult task, give yourself strength by using the right words. Think “opportunity”, “new experiences”, “power”, “adventure”, and you will speak the language of an optimistic person. You are able to have a healthy happy life again. It takes a little positivity but it will certainly go a long way!

What do you do to be your best version?
