Update: Amazing Pages are no longer trading.
I often write about personalised gifts and we love books so we are always looking for new ones to read with Mia at bedtime so when I saw that Amazing Pages were looking for someone to review their personalised children’s books, I put us forward for one! So here is our Personalised Children’s Books With Amazing Pages…
Amazing Pages is a small, family run business that creates high quality personalised books that puts your child at the very heart of the story by using not only real life experiences and names of friends but also by using a photograph of your child so they can be the main character! There are currently 3 different stories to choose from; The Shy Mermaid, The Alien Catcher, and The Lazy Llama. We decided to personalise The Shy Mermaid for Mia as she really likes mermaids and princesses at the moment!
The Shy Mermaid is a lovely story about a mermaid who isn’t very confident around other mermaids until she befriends your child and they end up on an adventure where she finds her voice again! Not only does the story contain key facts about your child such as where they live and their favourite toy but also features your child’s face as part of the main character! (The books can also be personalised without your child’s photo if you want to use one of the characters instead). I can honestly say this is one of the nicest personalised stories I have seen, so often do they contain a short story with only your child’s name as personalisation but The Shy Mermaid is very different with personalisation on every single page!
It is very easy to personalise the story to suit your child, just enter; their full name, where they live, their friend’s name, favourite toy, a time they felt shy or scared, and even a personal message for the first page of the book. Priced at £19.99, the book feels really high quality with lovely illustrations throughout. Mia thought it was amazing to see her face looking back at her in the book and loved hearing about her adventures with the shy mermaid! These books from Amazing Pages make the perfect gift for any child who loves books and has a great imagination; they can be part of their very own adventures!
