Anyone who does a school run knows how rubbish it can be! I really dislike the school run and will happily pop Mia into any after-school class she’s shows the slightest bit of interest in, so I don’t have to do them! One thing that can make the school run even worse is the great British weather! One minute its sunny and there are a couple of clouds in the sky, the next minute its chucking it down with rain and ridiculously windy! So you need decent school run winter coats!
We live about 10 minutes’ drive away from Mia’s school (unfortunately it’s not walkable due to the number of hills!) but we park a fair walk away just to avoid the silly amount of traffic on the main school road! This means that when its wet and windy, the school run is even worse than usual, so you need a decent coat to get you through!
Here are my 5 top school run coats to buy this winter!
Rubberised Rain Mac £24.50
A great mac for the rainy weather! I prefer navy coats as they are a little brighter even when you’re not feeling it! This mac will need a jumper underneath but could also be brought out in Spring and again in Autumn.
PrettyLittleThing Mara Padded Coat £35
With an inside fur collar and a detachable hood, this coat is great for both wind and rain and will take you through to the Spring.
Blue Vanilla Black Floral Hooded Puffer Coat £38
Fully lined, hooded and padded, I love the print on this one and it will keep you warm in the winter months.
Tall Stone Faux Fur Trim Parka Jacket £41.99
You can remove the faux fur trim in the Spring/Autumn or keep it on for warmth in the winter. Comes in 2 colours so if stone isn’t your colour there is a dark version too.
Khaki faux fur trim PU blocked jacket £85
The most expensive of my picks but this is one of my favourites. Warm enough for the winter with its removable fur trim, will keep you dry in the rain and also has a touch of faux leather for style!
So there you have it! My 5 best school run winter coats for when the weather is against you and you still want to look good!
