Update: The brand name is now called Looka so any reference to Logojoy is there old name!
I have been blogging for a while now however I have only started taking it seriously and considering it an actual business for about a year now. I absolutely love blogging however it’s taken me a long time to get to where I am now and I have learnt a hell of a lot along the way! There is still so much to learn and I have only just started paying for things such as scheduling services as I realised sometimes my time is worth far more than a fiver a month! Alongside this, I’m not greatly creative and have been lucky that Mario (a web developer) has been able to build my website and design my branding. I’m learning bits along the way but I can never seem to get onto ‘paper’ what is inside my head!
I was recently asked by Logojoy if I would like to try out their branding services and as it is definitely something on my to-do list, I was more than happy to try them out! Logojoy help small and mid-sized businesses overcome the branding hurdle by creating custom logos, social media banners and even merchandise surrounding your business and its needs!
The website is really straight forward to use and straight away, using just a few options, I could get a feel of what my new logo could potentially look like. You start off by choosing 5 or more logos that you like from a selection on screen, and then you can choose any colours that you like the look of. I went for pinks and purples as my website is a parenting and lifestyle blog. You have the option to enter your business name and slogan to add to the logo and then up to 5 symbols that could represent your business. I chose a few parenting and a couple of fitness as my blog is mostly about parenting. Finally your logo is generated for you to edit even further!
Once you get into the editing section, there is a lot you can do with your logo from adjusting the spacing of the letters to tweaking the specific colours for each aspect of the logo. Each change is previewed immediately on screen which is brilliant to really personalise and hone down on what branding you are after. On this page you can also see how your business cards, stationary, and even t-shirts will look with your new logo on which again is brilliant when trying to create a full brand identity.
Here is a preview of my newer logo’s (I’m still developing my ideas!):
I found the whole process from start to generating a new logo, really easy and straight forward and it only took me around 5 minutes to get to the editing and tweaking part. I was really impressed with what Logojoy came up with in a matter of seconds from just a few on screen selections. I love the options available without it feeling like there is too much choice! It’s really useful to be able to start off with a simple, basic idea and get more and more ideas as you sit and try out new colours and fonts. I think the ability to add my own image would be useful as I really like mine and would be happy to add that to a logo created on the platform instead of using the stock symbols available.
Once you have come up with a logo that you are happy with you can go straight to the checkout and instant payment means you get access to your new logo immediately via download! I had an internet issue just as I was about to go to the checkout however the logo and my alterations had been saved on the system so I didn’t need to redo anything which is ridiculously handy!
Your new logo is downloaded in various colours and saved in various formats automatically so you can use it for lots of different things. You get a copy of your brand guidelines that can be added to your website, stating the rules around the use of your brand logo by others. As well as this you can add onto your purchase, an hours’ time with a senior designer to get even more help or download a social media kit which will give you all of your perfectly sized logos for each social media you use. Seriously time saving!
I will be using Logojoy (Looka) again as the process was fab and with the ability to make changes and re-download the info means I can continue to develop my brand logo even further!
