I have loved chocolate since as long as I can remember and as I have got older my tastes have definitely changed to the likes of Thorntons and Hotel Chocolat. However about 15 years ago, whilst in Dublin visiting family, I discovered Lily O’Brien’s chocolates. I don’t buy them for myself so when I was sent some of their summer chocolate collection I was really looking forward to trying them!

The Chocolate Desserts Collection, priced at around £10, contains a collection of the world’s best loved dessert recipes. With 18 assorted milk, white and dark chocolates there is certainly a chocolate for everyone!

Each chocolate is a delicious mouthful of flavour and includes; Hazelnut Torte (praline in a white chocolate cup topped with dark chocolate and crushed hazelnut), Passion Fruit Posset (white chocolate truffle with passion fruit cased in white and milk chocolate), Banoffee Pie (banana infused caramel smothered in milk chocolate), Crème Brulee (vanilla custard truffle and caramel encased in a milk chocolate shell), Raspberry Infusion (raspberry chocolate truffle smothered in dark chocolate topped with white chocolate), and their award winning Key Limey Pie (zesty lime truffle smothered in dark chocolate).

My favourite is definitely the Hazelnut Torte as it has a lovely mixture of chocolate and nut but the Key Limey Pie chocolate is extremely refreshing!

I don’t think I have to say we have thoroughly enjoyed taste-testing the Lily O’Brien’s Chocolate Desserts Collection! They are a collection of stunning chocolates, with each individual chocolate a satisfying explosion of flavour. Each chocolate pot is a mouthful of deliciousness.

There isn’t one chocolate that we didn’t like or couldn’t guess what dessert it was supposed to be! I would be more than happy to receive these for my birthday or Christmas and would also buy them for family and friends as they would make a great gift too!
