Visit Snowdonia

The Snowdonia National Park is a very diverse region that is in Wales. It’s home to various glacial landforms and it is also home to Mount Snowdon too. It’s able to give you utterly breath-taking views and the challenge attracts hiking enthusiasts from all across the world. There is a very extensive network of trails, and you may also find that there’s a lot of wildlife. There’s the longest zip line in Europe and it’s also the fastest one in the world too, so you won’t have any problems when it comes to things to do.

Visit the Lakes

If you are an outdoor enthusiast then you should think about checking out the Lake District. It can be found in the north of the UK and it’s also the best place for you to go hiking. If you are a keen cyclist then you’ll be glad to know that there are plenty of trails for you to go on. As if that wasn’t enough, you can also go sailing through the lakes. The area is very crowded during summer but at the end of the day, the summer weather does make up for it.

There are also lots of places to go fishing so whether you are a keen fisher already or want to take up a new hobby, there is something for everyone! Just remember to grab your fishing bait and gear first!

England is nothing short of charming. It’s also full of quaint places too. It’s home to rolling hills and various small fishing towns. Some of them include Cornwall and Southampton. You will be able to take in everything that Britain is famous for, and you can also enjoy some of the finest views around too. Other recommended places that you can easily add to your itinerary would be the castles that are in Dorset, or even the Isle of Wight which is to the south. There you will be able to sample some of the finest foods in the country and you will also be able to take advantage of the views too.

The Beauty of Gower

Gower really is a hidden gem, and it is waiting to be found. There’s some amazing waters and you may also find that there are some stunning sand dunes too. This place truly is an adventurer’s paradise. It’s the best location if you want to enjoy the quiet Welsh countryside not to mention that Gower isn’t far at all from the charming city of Swansea.

England is also very much known for its festivals. You can easily plan out a fantastic weekend by booking some tickets to them. If you love music and traipsing around a boggy, muddy field then you may be ready to experience a British festival in all of its glory. Glastonbury festival is a great choice but if you want to visit somewhere a little more rock and roll then you also have Download Festival. They have top headliners every year, with some of the past headliners including Kiss, Iron Maiden and of course, Black Sabbath. The great thing about attending a British festival is that it gives you chance to see great bands up close and personal and on top of that, it also helps you to meet new people. If you are coming from abroad then nothing will quite compare to going to a festival.

Buckingham Palace

Buckingham Palace is the home to the Queen and it’s a fascinating sight to say the least. Every day at half-past 11, the changing of the guards takes place. If you want to check the palace out for yourself then you will need to pay an admission fee but there are discounts available. This is especially the case if you are a student, a senior or if you are going with your family. If you do not want to pay the admission fee then the grounds are free for you to explore, so make sure that you at least check that out if you want to have the best time when in England. This is one of the most typical British things that the country is famous for, so don’t leave it off your itinerary.

Visit the Tower of London

When you visit the Tower of London, you will be able to see the crown jewels and you can also see the famous beefeaters too. It’s also possible for you to see where some of the most famous prisoners in England were held as well. It is rather expensive to visit but at the end of the day, you are bound to have a good time when you go because you get to see some of the culture that England is famous for, up close and personal. The lines can be long, so make sure that you plan ahead if possible.

Visit Brighton

Brighton is a fantastic little town if you want to have a weekend trip. There are tons of shops and there are also a lot of cafes and boutiques. The streets are very narrow as well and this helps to create a very intimate relationship if you are a visitor. The beaches are stunning and it’s a popular destination with locals too. If you want a way to enjoy the fleeting sun or if you want to have a relaxing day wandering the pier then it’s safe to say that you won’t regret adding this destination to your list.

Visit Liverpool

Liverpool is home to various spectacular museums. The main reason why so many people visit this location is because of the Beatles. That being said, it’s also rich for its history and it’s got plenty of fun pubs as well. If you want to have the best time then make sure that you wander the pier and also book a hotel that is close to the various hotspots, so you won’t have to worry about travelling far.

Chatsworth House

Chatsworth House is in Derbyshire and it’s an amazing home to say the least. It was built in the year 1549 for the Duke of Devonshire. There are a lot of stunning houses around the UK but this one is by far the most stunning. There’s also a lot of stunning gardens and farmyards for you to walk around. If you want to try and sample the country for everything it has to offer, then you won’t want to miss out on gems like this.

Oxford University

There are a lot of colleges around Oxford and they are all stunning in terms of architecture. If you want to get a tour when you visit, then you won’t have to pay a lot either. You can even see where the famous Harry Potter was filmed as well. Of course, the tours all help to give you a fascinating history of the universities and it also helps you to see why it is one of the most prestigious universities in the world.

Stonehenge

Stonehenge is found in Salisbury and it’s actually one of the oldest structures in the world. It dates all the way back to 2,500 B.C. You can’t actually go up to it  anymore but that doesn’t make it any less fascinating. It’s remarkable to think about how they managed to get the stones up there and if you want to learn more about the location then you can easily go on an audio tour. This is certainly worth getting as it helps to give you a lot of historical context in regards to the stones and the site in general.

Old Trafford

Old Trafford can be found in Manchester and it contains a very famous theatre, sports arena and club. It’s recommended that you pay this place a visit because the tour is nothing short of spectacular. The tour takes you below the seats in the stadium and you can also visit the player’s lounge too. You can visit the pitchside dugout and the museum will give you a very good idea of the history of the sport and the area in general too so keep that in mind if you decide to go.

Visit the Ely Cathedral

This is known as being the Ship of the Fens. This cathedral is visible from just about everywhere. It was built in the 12th century, and it’s got a stunning entrance to say the least. There is also an octagonal lantern tower and of course, the Lady Chapel is the biggest in the whole of England. If you have not visited this location before then now is the time for you to change that because you won’t regret it and it is things like this that make England such a spectacular place to visit.

Of course, England is full of hidden gems, but if you take the time to visit them all, then you will soon find that you’re able to have the best vacation ever.
