We are always on the lookout for gadgets and as a family interested in technology, we like to know try out gadgets and tools aimed at making life that little bit simpler or simply to enhance our current lifestyle. We have previously tested the One For All Music Receiver which we absolutely love and use every single day so when we were asked if we wanted to try out another of their products, we decided to look at how their Wireless TV Headphones would change our television viewing at night.

One For All have designed and created various digital audio-video accessories in order for you to experience the ultimate home comfort and have been doing so for the last 30 years. One of their latest products released are the Wireless TV Headphones HP1030. These headphones connect to your TV system enabling you to listen to programmes or the radio without disturbing anyone else around you or you being disturbed yourself! Designed with Voice Clear Technology, the headphones emphasise speech whilst dimming background noise and enhancing the voice spectrum, making sure you hear every single word during a TV show or radio program. If you’re worried about your hearing, why not go to The Yorkshire Hearing Clinic to get a quick check up!

The headphones charge whilst stood on the base and have a range of up to 100 meters which means you can listen to the radio with them on whilst cooking dinner or even sunbathing at the bottom of the garden! Multiple wireless tv headphones can be connected to the same network while not disturbing anyone else and with 12 hours of uninterrupted tv listening, don’t need to be charged up all the time!

The headphones reduce sound leakage and provide insulation from background noises whilst you can easily control the tv sound directly from the headphones themselves. They work out of the box with little setup required however it did take a while to get used to how the base and headphones worked together as I found doing everything and then plugging into the headphones socket on the tv was the only way for the base to sync up and both base and headphones to connect to the same channel otherwise they did not seem to connect easily.

Once done the first time, they seem to connect straight away every time now so I don’t know if it’s just an initial setup issue or not. A clear red light shows that the headphones are on charge, both red and blue lights mean that the base and headphones are synced up on the same channel and you will hear the tv sound through them.

At £49.99 they are relatively inexpensive compared to other wireless headphones on the market but that does come with its downsides. Although the sound comes through at a high quality, with clear, crisp sounds, the headphones are a little clunky when on the base and don’t always sit nicely on the charging connectors of the base.

They also feel a bit ‘plasticy’ although the ear-cups themselves are comfortable and well cushioned making them sit nicely on your ears. Mia loves wearing them and finds it fascinating sat listening to programmes with them on! Mario uses them in bed when I want to sleep but he wants to stay up and so they are a great idea for when you want to watch tv but not disturb anyone else! I can see a definite good use for the One For All Wireless TV Headphones and although they may not be perfect, they will be used!
