A couple of years ago you might remember me talking about The Snowman Tour that came to a venue near us down the road in Derby just before Christmas. It was an amazing evening and not only Mia’s first experience of watching The Snowman but also of a real live orchestra. As well as the incredible live orchestra playing music alongside The Snowman, we also watched The Bear and the Piano narrated by Joanna Lumley, a new book to us but one that has since become a favourite of Mia’s! You can read all about last year but I’m so pleased to announce that The Snowman Tour was back last year and was set to be even better!

At a venue near you, The Snowman will be back with his own live orchestra playing the famous magical pieces from the film itself. We will be heading over to Derby to watch it this year and the accompanying animation for our venue will be The Donkeys Tale. This heart-warming story of Dillon the Donkey, an ordinary donkey with an extraordinary dream that takes him on a journey that will change his life, has been specially written and composed by Daniel Whibley. The Snowman himself even makes an appearance during the evening!

Oh I’ve seen this t our local theatre. It looks really good and my middle one loves the snowman. He finishes earlier for Christmas than my eldest so I think I might take him as a treat. Thanks for reminding me 🙂
