5 Autumn Fashion Essentials for Work from Home Mums

It can be hard to know what to wear at the best of times! If you’re like me and your little ones have just gone back to school, you might find yourself wondering what you can wear to accommodate; early morning school runs, working from home, housework and then the slightly milder afternoon school runs. I certainly don’t want to be changing my outfits multiple times a day or going out on the school run and feeling uncomfortable in what I’m wearing!

I have put together a short list of 5 clothing items I think will help make sure you are ready for whatever the unreliable autumn days throw at you!

Autumn Fashion Essentials

Natural Tones:

This is one of the easiest trends to add to your Autumn clothing. At this time of year, browns, beiges, cremes and even yellows and reds are readily available in the shops. Why not throw on a beautiful camel coloured coat or a real brown leather pair of brogues for the school run?

Chains:

These are BIG this season and are so easy to use to brighten up any outfit. Hang subtly from a bag or wear as a statement necklace!

Checks:

There are so many different ways to wear checks and so many colours to go for. I love a good checked shirt for the colder weather or add a checked scarf to your coat for a great Autumnal accessory.

Chunky Boots:

I would wear a good pair of chunky boots all year round if I could! I just love them! I have brown, grey and a few pairs of black ones. They look insane with skinny jeans tucked in or with a lovely dress teamed with leggings.

Hobo Bag:

A great Autumn accessory for the school run is a Hobo bag. A slouch design means it can hold a whole lot more than it looks like it can! Go for the neutral shades at the moment as they will go with any outfit!
