Launch an eCommerce store

If you’re someone who wants to run their own business and have the full flexibility of having it work around your home life as a parent, why not launch an eCommerce store? Setting up your own business online is easy enough but you’re going to need to have a concept or idea to start with, a brand name, and all the relevant elements required before you hit launch.

For those interested in fashion, there are plenty of companies you can work with to source the clothing, like a garment wholesaler for example. Don’t forget about a good website design or using a designer to custom-make your site and remember to market it well when launching.

Earn money by influencing

A lot of people nowadays make a considerable amount of money online through influence. This is where you influence people to buy what you promote, whether it’s an electric toothbrush or a new car. The more powerful your influence is over your audience, the better it’ll be for getting those all-important collaborations.

Setting up social media platforms is easy, but you’ll want to work hard to establish a relationship with your audience and build a connection that will lead them to buy what you’re selling.

Take care of pets

If you’re a pet lover, then you could always offer your services as a babysitter for people’s pets. Of course, it’s important to be mindful of your own children around these pets, so you may want to keep the two separate if possible.

However, you could also offer dog walks if your kids are little as this helps to get both of them out of the house, while earning a bit of money on the side for yourself. You could always do dog walking services over the weekend or in the early mornings or evenings to cater to households of all lifestyle habits.

Offer a laundry service

A laundry service is certainly a good way to make some extra money, especially as you likely do a lot of laundry yourself already. While the cost of running more laundry through your home will become more expensive, you could end up charging quite a significant amount for doing people’s laundry and perhaps evening ironing it if helps churn in a bit more of an income.

There are lots of different side hustles worth exploring so with that being said, look at how you could create a side hustle for your busy self this year. Who knows where it might take you?
