Let’s face it, we don’t really know if we are going to get a ‘normal’ half term or not next week do we? I haven’t really planned out what we are going to do like I usually would yet because of this but Mia wants to go to the October Half Term club at school for 2 days each week so we have booked her in for that!

I have put together a quick guide of ideas you can do that are inexpensive in and around Nottinghamshire over this October half term. Remember to grab my planner below once your ready to plan in your half term activities!

Of course, I also think that it would be a perfect idea to buy dissertation in UK because if there are already students in your family they can be more free and spend more time on relaxation, or simply help their little brothers and sisters deal with the paper writing process.

Halloween Monster Hunt

This is something we do every year and it’s really good fun! The kids never get bored of going to Rufford so when the have their Halloween Monster Hunt on it’s even more fun! For £8 take a stroll round the lake searching for the vampires, spiders, ghosts and ghouls! There’s even an illuminated trail to discover!

Halloween Trail

Another place we love to have a walk around is Sherwood Forest. It’s recently undergone a revamp and now hosts a Halloween Trail like Rufford’s. For £2 per trail you get a spooky walk through the woods, past the Major Oak to complete the challenges and crack the code to help Robin Hood! You even get your very own souvenir pencil to take home!

Add in the £1 Spooky Sherwood Detective Pack for even more Halloween fun!

Local Library

We usually take a trip to the library at least once during half term. With 2 girls who love books, it’s always a fun afternoon picking some new reads however we can’t do this at the moment. Most libraries are offering a click and collect service so you can still get hold of some new books for the kids. Theres also plenty of ebooks and audiobooks that you can download from BorrowBox. I personally have listened to 8 audiobooks in the last few months!

Local Parks

Just going for a walk has become such a nice thing to do. We have got so used to taking a picnic and to the park and spending most of the day there! Obviously the weather isn’t going to be anywhere near as nice as in the summer however make sure you’re all dressed appropriately and the kids love a car picnic!

October Half Term Ideas

I hope you’ve got a few ideas from this for what to do this October Half Term. I know it’s going to be a bit different this year and we won’t be able to do a lot of things we normally do but the kids will remember the little things you all did together and thats the main thing!
