We love Lego and Playmobil and recently we have started our collection of Lego Technic, so the girls are really interested in any new sets coming out. I have bought Playmobil Advent Calendars for Mia the last couple of years so when I heard that Playmobil were set to launch their EverDreamerz Comic City collection, I was really excited to see what they had to offer!
Playmobil EverDreamerz Comic City
The EverDreamerz Comic City collection consists of 5 character boxes and smaller surprise boxes. Starting with the character boxes, we were really impressed with how they looked on first glance. The boxes are designed in a comic book style and are really eye-catching! Each of the 5 boxes is colour co-ordinated with the character so for Rosalee, she is pink, so her box is pink, surprise bags are pink and the items inside are pink!
The boxes are really nice to open with 4 different compartments to open inside. Mia absolutely loves anything she can open and anything that involves surprises, so she loved opening these!
The only thing I would say is that it means there is a lot of packaging (mostly recyclable) but with 5 boxes to open, there was a lot of mess! You can keep the outer packaging to create a little scene with the other boxes which can form part of your child’s play.
There are 8 surprises in each box so in each little bag there is a magic pet, collectable card, sticker, charm, bead, accessory, bracelet, and water pen. The water pen can be used to paint the enclosed stickers which disappears when dry and is mess free! We found there are lots of little bits so make sure to check each bag is completely empty before throwing away and these sets are definitely for the older kids! Don’t forget to take the magical amulet off each of the boxes too!
The EverDreamerz comic dream world is bright, colourful and full of sketched patterns! The 5 girls are transported there with the magical amulet and discover how they can create creatures by drawing and painting to their hearts content!
Edwina is the star of the colourful comic world. She is the sporting ace and comes with a sports shoe charm.
Starleen loves singing and dancing and comes with a red bow charm.
Viona is the mysterious one who loves poems and paintings. Her artistic talent saves the girls from difficult situations! She comes with a brush charm.
Rosalee is funny, warm and cheerful and a great listener. She comes with a Victory sign charm.
Finally, there is Clare who is the brains of the group. She loves geometric shapes and her charm is a paper airplane.
You know what you’re getting with Playmobil and these Comic City sets do not disappoint. Well-made toys with plenty of items make these really great for kid’s role play games. The bold, bright colours really interested Lottie too who wanted to join in the fun! Priced at £14.99 each and only 5 to collect they don’t break the bank either!
Then there are the surprise boxes and with 12 to collect, again they don’t break the bank at £5.99. There are 12 characters to collect including a limited-edition balloon lady with a golden muffin charm!
Inside each box you will find a character, charm, trading card, sticker and accessory. We got Justin Time with his little alarm clock charm and Kimby with her pom poms!
I would be really happy to collect these for Mia as they are great for role-play, something that Mia is really into at the moment. I can see these being well used in our household!
