Snapshot of our Month – June

Welcome back to another Snapshot of our Month! These months are just flying by and I’m sure you will know by now that we had some big news last month…we are having another baby! Mia is really excited and although there is a long way to go, it’s an exciting time for all of us! So this month we have been doing quite a lot, the weather has been nicer (although that hasn’t been the case for the last few days!) so we have been going out a bit and spending time together as a family. We took a trip to one of our favourite places Rufford Abbey and fed the ducks in the gorgeous sunshine! So lets get on with the Snapshot of our Month!

I had my first evening out with my friends whilst pregnant, I don’t really drink all that much anyway so I was really happy to try out the virgin cocktails which were delicious! We went to a restaurant I had wanted to try out for a long while and it didn’t disappoint, although I hated having my steak well done so didn’t enjoy that at all! When the new baby arrives, I will definitely be back to try out their rare steak!

We took Mia to the cinema to see the new Peppa Pig movie as she is still into Peppa (even at 4!) and we haven’t really been to the cinema much with her. She really enjoyed it and loved seeing one of her favourite characters on the big screen!

We went to a local fair with my best friend and her little girl. Mia loves rides so I think they went on nearly every single one! They loved the tea cups and both looked really cute holding on ‘just chilling!’

Mia had her Preschool photos done and although I begrudge the cost of them, with it being her last month there before starting school, we did buy the whole class one and one of her individual photos. We are really pleased with them, she looks really grown up!

Finally, we had our dating scan this week and got the first glimpse of the new baby! We decided to take Mia along with us as we felt she would understand things a bit better if she could see the baby on the screen and we want her to feel part of everything we do with the new baby. She was so excited and had a great time! When the baby was moving around, she said ‘mummy, the baby’s waving at me’ which made us all laugh! You can now read our Announcement too!
