Taking Part in a Mo Running Charity Event

We are quite ‘into’ our fitness at the moment so when we were approached to see if we were interested in promoting awareness for the Movember Foundation and taking part in a 10k Mo Running event near us to raise some much-needed money for charity, as a keen runner already, Mario put himself forward straight away to take on the challenge!
The Movember Foundation, started in 2003, is the only charity tackling men’s health on a global scale and helps to fund vital projects addressing some of the biggest health issues faced by men; prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health, and suicide prevention. Independent of government funding, they can invest quicker in what works and in 13 years have funded more than 1200 men’s health projects around the world!
Throughout the whole of November, up and down the country, men and women alike will be running 5k or 10k in Mo Running events in aid of the Movember Foundation, in order to raise awareness and money for the men’s health charity. Despite the serious nature of their work, the idea is to grow it, flow it and sculpt the most aerodynamic mo that you can! Women can draw them on, stick them on and get dressed up ready to run in the name of men’s health! Well known for his big personality and bright colours, Mr Motivator, as the 2016 Mo Running ambassador, will be encouraging people everywhere to sign up for the events!
You can find out all of the information about a Mo Run near you at Mo Running and when you register you have the option to make a donation with your entry fee (5k £18, 10K £22) or setup a Just Giving page straight away. All runners will receive a race number, race pack, full chip timing so you can get instant feedback on your run time, a medal, drinks and snacks on the day.

I am so not a runner, I’m very good at tripping and falling, but running is beyond me. That said this is a fantastic cause, so to all those taking part, especially Mario good luck x

Oh I’m completely with you there! They approached me to see if I would run in the event and there was no chance I was going to be able to! I’m looking forward to seeing Mario pass the finish line! 🙂
