I have previously mentioned my hatred of buying gifts for men! The men in my life (and that isn’t many!) don’t have hobbies, interests or likes that I can add to or buy things for and this leads to the usual boring presents of chocolates and maybe a meal out somewhere nice with family. Snapfish (formerly Truprint) have a campaign just to solve this problem and its aptly named #SwapSocksForSelfies which I think is fab. They say ‘that while socks are snug and useful, it won’t be long until one will disappear forever into a sock abyss’ and their campaign is all about swapping the usual sock gifts for a personalised gift that features photos that can be cherished for years to come! I also have a gift guide too!
Snapfish offer a really fab wide range of products that you can personalise with pretty much any photo or image you want to! You can pick from canvas prints, mugs, keyrings and loads more so I thought it would be a nice idea to show you some of the bits I decided to personalise for Mario’s Father’s Day. I thought it would be lovely to use some photos of both Mia and Lottie on his gifts.
The first things I designed were Father’s Day cards. I need 1 for Mario from the girls, 1 for their Grandad, 1 for their Grandpa and then 1 from me to my own dad. I don’t know about you, but it starts getting complicated when you have grandparents and great-grandparents to remember too! I chose one of the most recent photos of the girls I could find and it’s a lovely pic of them both smiling as Lottie has just started smiling at us! It was really easy to design the cards as the templates are there for you and as you add and change things, you can see on the preview how it’s going to look before you order it. When the cards arrived in the post, I was really happy with the way they look and the quality of the cards themselves.
Then I used some photos from our recent trip to Peppa Pig World to create some lovely gifts. I made a Magnet, a Key ring, a Mug, and a Coaster. I love the fact that they can all be fully personalised, and I can add both photos and text to any of these products. Again, I have been really impressed with the ease and speed at which I was able to create them as well as the quality when they actually arrived! I love creating these types of gifts as they feel really personal and they have been carefully selected and designed by me for Mario.
I really enjoyed creating some lovely gifts for Father’s Day with Snapfish and I will really look forward to giving them out this year. I don’t need to worry about having to buy socks or chocolates or anything else that are just a bit boring and samey as I have designed some fab personal gifts! I would highly recommend creating your very own personalised gifts and you still have plenty of time before Father’s Day!
