We are an extremely organised family and love nothing more than having our weekly meal plans, weekly appointments and weekly jobs listed on planners stuck on the fridge. It’s what works for us and ensures we (very rarely!) miss important things we need to do each week. It also helps when it comes to planning meals and ordering the weekly food shop! In order to keep our family organised we need effective and efficient planners and calendars up to the job!
Over the last couple of years, I have tried many planners, diary’s and calendars and I’m always looking for new and interesting ones to keep us organised! When I attended the BlogOn Conference in Sept this year, we were given a ‘Blue Planet’ 2020 calendar by Danilo and it got me thinking about which calendar’s we will use next year.
Around October/November each year I start to buy the next years planners and diary’s as I like to go into the New Year already planning ahead for the next few months. Danilo were kind enough to send us a couple of their calendars to get us started and I think you will be interested in them too!
Disney Family Organiser
The first calendar we were sent was the Disney Family Organiser. I have never had a calendar like this one before! Lovely and bright with all of our favourite Disney characters, this calendar is definitely a Disney fan’s dream!
It has a month per page view and each month has a different Disney character theme. The best feature for me is that there are 5 columns for different family members on each page! This means I can write down specific appointments, reminders, jobs, etc… for each day, for each family member individually. This will definitely keep us more organised and will make it easier to see who’s doing what, at a glance!
As well as this, there are over 200 stickers to use and a handy storage pocket for any letters, notes, vouchers, etc… that you may need to keep in a ready-to-grab place. This will save no end of time rooting through your handbag for last month’s school letter! This Disney Family Organiser will definitely help keep us all organised and doesn’t take up too much space!! Available for £9.99 it’s well worth it for any busy family!
Paw Patrol My First Calendar
The next calendar we were sent is one for Mia. She really loves Paw Patrol so I knew she would love her very own themed calendar. She has a similar one from a few years ago but it’s a bit battered and broken and not particularly child friendly, with lots of the magnetic parts either missing or broken! The Paw Patrol My First Calendar is a fab, bright, colourful planner just for little ones!
This calendar not only encourages children to learn the days of the week, months of the year, the weather and the seasons, but it also allows them to write in their own weekly appointments and things to do which can then be wiped clean and written again!
The calendar comes with a white board pen, moveable arrows to point to the time of day and the current weather (usually cloudy or rainy here in the UK!), season cards and magnetic dog bone piece to indicate the current temperature.
Mia absolutely loves her Paw Patrol My First Calendar and even though I quickly forgot to write on her weekly appointments, I noticed that she had written them on herself and changes the day, date and the weather each and every day! I think this calendar is well worth the £8.99 price tag!
How do you prepare your little ones for the week ahead?
