I’m always on the lookout for new and interesting snacks to have in between meals, not only for Mia but also for myself. I think it’s sometimes hard to find snacks that are tasty as well as being a healthier option or better for you than a bag of crisps or a packet of hobnobs! I crave sweet things throughout the day and with an 3 school runs a day and running after a 4yr old all afternoon, I’m always in need of a quick snack I can grab-on-the-go. When I saw that KIND snacks where looking for reviewers of their snack bars, I was really interested to see how good they would be and if they would be great to stick in my handbag for whenever I needed one!

KIND snacks, created in 2004, have developed simple but delicious snack bars packed with real fruit and real nuts. Their aim is to create snack bars that only contain ingredients you can see and pronounce and with this mind, they have come up with a selection of snack bars that do just that. Bound with honey and containing up to 72% nuts, each bar has been lovingly created to satisfy anyone’s sweet tooth! There is nothing artificial about these bars, nothing added and nothing in them that you won’t be able to identify. We were lucky enough to be sent 8 different flavours to try out and I can honestly say that there wasn’t one we didn’t love!

The snack bars themselves look so tasty! From first opening, you can tell they are going to be a high quality product. You can see all of the individual fruit and nuts that are in each one and depending on the flavour; they are encased in honey and/or contain a chocolate of some sort (which is always a winner for me!). The flavours taste absolutely stunning together and as someone who isn’t really into sea salt and chocolate together, my favourite flavour (if pushed to pick just one!) was the Caramel Almond and Sea Salt bar!

I love the packaging of the bars as it’s simple, eye-catching and does what it says on the ‘packet’. Each individual packet is transparent so you can see the contents and I think this is the main draw, the product itself, as I certainly couldn’t resist these bars if I saw them on the shelf! Each bar is clearly labelled with its contents so there is no question of what’s inside. They are gluten-free, dairy free and high in fibre bars.

The flavours we were sent included; Cranberry Almond and Macadamia Nut, Dark Chocolate and Cherry Cashew, Madagascan Vanilla Almond, Dark Chocolate Nuts and Sea Salt, Maple Glazed Pecan and Sea Salt, Peanut Butter and Dark Chocolate, Almond and Coconut, and Caramel Almond and Sea Salt.

Depending on which snack bar you choose, some of them are quite hard on the teeth however the taste of them completely overrides this and didn’t pose a problem for me at all. I really enjoyed these snack bars and found them to be really tasty. It feels like you are having a ‘real’ snack that not only fills you up between meals but also is a better snack in terms of its contents than other snacks.

I will definitely be replacing my current snacks for these bars however with a price of £1.29 a bar, they are pricey if you are wanting to replace every snack with these so I will be saving them for 2-3 times a week which will be great as a treat option too! The KIND snack bars went down a treat in our house, with Mario loving them too, they are the perfect snack for anyone with a sweet tooth and wanting to watch what you are eating as well actually enjoying them too!
