We have become a family obsessed with fitness over the last year and so we love getting the opportunity to try out the latest fitness gadgets and gizmos new to the market. Today is the turn of SoundPEATS latest wireless in-ear headphones. Mario runs pretty much every night and I work out at least 3 times a week so we are always looking for new ways to make these workouts easier and more enjoyable.
SoundPEATS, founded in 2010, is a design and production company specialising in acoustic products such as; middle and high-end earphones, wireless earphones, and sound boxes. They have various types of headphones and speakers available but their newest range includes the Q12 wireless headphones which we were really interested in putting through its paces!
The wireless headphones themselves come in a lovely little carry bag which you can keep them in while not in use as well as looking really high-end. Inside you get various interchangeable ear hooks and eartips so you can find the perfect fit and most comfortable for you. With ergonomic in-ear secure fit tips, you can be sure that they will stay put no matter what your work out involves! The headphones are designed to stay inside your ear even when running and are lightweight at only 15g in order for them to be as comfortable as possible. The headphones have a great magnetic feature which means you can wear them around your neck whilst not in use, meaning you won’t lose them even if you’re not wearing them.
With built-in Bluetooth for high quality playback, the headphones connect automatically to your device after initial pairing and the initial pairing is extremely quick and easy to do so you can be off and ‘running’ in no time! There is approximately 10m connection range and the fact they are completely wireless is brilliant so you don’t need to worry about getting tangled up in cables and being tethered to your phone!
With a 1-2 hours charging time via the supplied USB charging cable, you can get up to 6 hours continuous working time which is really helpful if you’re not great at remembering to charge your things up! There is also a built-in microphone so you can take calls without even having to interrupt your work out.
Overall we found the headphones both useful and comfortable. The wireless element of them is great so you don’t have the difficulty of trailing cables and the magnetic feature is really handy for when you’re not wearing them in-ear. The sound quality is good and is about average for the price (£39.99). There was sometimes interference whilst listening to music however all in all; connectivity was good and maintained throughout. SoundPEATS have created some great wireless headphones and are well worth the price. We will continue to use these during our runs and work outs!
