I love sweets; well, I love anything sweet if I’m honest and so when Mr Big Tops contacted me to see if I wanted to try out their very own retro sweet boxes, I was really excited! Mr Big Tops are a subscription box and occasion box service based in London, where from twice a week to once a month you can sign up to be sent a letterbox sized treat of retro, traditional, and old-fashioned sweets through the post!
When my sweet box arrived, I was really impressed with just how much they had got into the box. As it is letterbox sized, I was expecting around 4 different sweet packets so I was pleasantly surprised when I opened up each of the 4 windows to find no less than 8 packets of different sweets! The box itself is very eye-catching, the colours are bold and the box is great as a gift to send straight to someone else. It opens up very much like an advent calendar, by pushing down the perforated edges and pulling each of the 4 windows open in turn. Behind each window is a lovely selection of sweets.
The sweets themselves are all packaged in Mr Big Tops see through branded packets so you can see exactly what you have got straight away. Each of the sweets I received, from the double dip dab to the white chocolate mice, brought back lovely childhood memories of choosing a pic and mix and getting a bag full of my favourites! The sweets are really tasty and I honestly enjoyed every single one (so did Mia!). The variety was great and I think you would be hard pushed to not like something sent each week or month!
Subscription boxes start at £3.99 which I think is amazing value as you get loads of sweets and there are offers underneath the box windows for free boxes in the future and discounts on any gifted boxes. There is also the opportunity to enter a competition once you have eaten the contents of the sweet box so they have really thought of everything!
I was sent the letterbox sized sweets but they also do great occasion boxes and jars full of retro sweets. With prices ranging from £1.29 – £29.99 there are so many gift ideas perfect for anyone who loves sweets and there is certainly something for everyone! There are customisable options on some of the Mr Big Tops products, with over 60 sweets to choose from. If your favourite sweets are not on the website, just let them know! All products are delivered by royal mail in 3-5 days, with free postage in the UK.
I loved the sweet box, a real treat for someone who loves sweets and doesn’t buy them for myself very often. I will definitely be signing myself up for the Mr Big Tops monthly subscription box so I can get great old-fashioned sweets straight to my door!

Ooooh these look yummy, reminded me of going to the shop after school. I guess that’s the point though isn’t it – everyone loves a bit of nostalgia especially the tasty kind xx Thanks for linking up at #KCACOLS. Hope you can come back again next Sunday.

I hate sweets but my kids love em! I’m a great believer in bribery and sweets work a treat in my house! #KCACOLS

Yeah I’m more of a choccy lover but they are great as bribes! I buy Mia bigger bags of snacks and things (she doesn’t eat choc or sweets – weird child!) and then put them into smaller pots ready to whip out when needed! 🙂

I haven’t heard of this before, but I think it would make a great birthday gift for my brother. I guess you could subscribe to a box a week for a few months as a gift. Myself I prefer chocolate, but for the sweet lover, a really good idea.
